This Season’s Colors: How to Mix and Match for a Perfect Look

There are few things in our world that are constant and the evolution of fashion and fashion trends happens to be one of them. Brands like Fracomina are aware of this, which is why they have embraced the shift, offering styles that balance both individuality and sophistication.

Still keeping up with the trends can be exhausting, especially when you try to match things. So, in this article, we’ll be giving you a few tips that will not only be helpful for this season but will continue to be helpful, regardless of how quickly fashion trends evolve.

Understanding The Season’s Palette

The first thing you want to consider is the general color scheme of the season. This season looks to be about expressive tones. So, we are starting to see lots of jewel shades like your emerald greens, ruby reds, and sapphire blues. But timeless colors like Beige and off-white are still making an appearance.

So, if you are looking to match outfits, you want to consider incorporating some of these colors. You could do monochrome, sticking with the jewel colors or mix your jewels with your neutral colors. It’s hard to go wrong with a neutral base.

Understanding Color Coordination

Going even further into the art of color coordination, you might want to consider using the color wheel as your guide. You can find a color wheel anywhere on the internet.

Colors that are opposite each other on the wheel are complementary. But they are also bold colors so pairing them will be quite striking. Colors that are next to each other, though, look kind of similar and so are easier to blend together.

Of course, you also have the option of monochromatic but in different shades. It really just depends on how willing you are to take risks.

Understanding Textures and Patterns

All of that said, mixing colors isn’t just about hues. It’s also about texture and pattern. Two colors might seem mismatched but you might change your mind if those colors are in subtle patterns like stripes or houndstooth.

Or if you are still learning to wear bold colors, you could wear a dress in a neutral or earthy color and then pair that with a structured bright-colored blazer.

This is why many fashionistas never say never. They just try to pair their colors differently and see how it works.

Accessorizing

Of course, there is no talking about pairing colors without having a dedicated section to accessories. We all know that accessories can make or mar an outfit. And if you are someone who is still learning to take risks with colors, accessories might be an easier entry point for you.

Shoes, handbags, belts, scarves, jewelry, whatever. Consider buying more of these in the colors of the season or really just colors that are outside your comfort zone. And then pair them with your comfort outfit. You’ll be surprised at the absolute perfection that you can pull off.

At the end of the day, there’s no better tip for mixing and matching colors or dressing better in general than wearing what makes you feel good. But that doesn’t say that there is no room for adventure. So, go ahead, try something you haven’t already. And don’t forget the most important part of your outfit: that beautiful smile.
