Smoldering Heat at Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat Siem Reap Cambodia

Good day,

While visiting Cambodia I went to Siem Reap to visit Angkor Wat. I spent most of an afternoon there and I have some words of advice for you. If you go, go early in the day. People talk about sunrise and I thought they were just over zealous. In the mid day heat it was arguably the hottest I’ve ever been in my life.

It’s so indescribably hot walking through that court yard that goes on forever. I sincerely believe someone must have died of heat exhaustion along the way. Like all things, there was no one selling water when you need it most. Similar to how the only time you can’t get a tuk tuk is when you need one.

The lady in front brought an umbrella for good reason.

Some people take bicycles, just hire a tuk tuk driver for ~$5-$10.

Tips hat,

P.S: Don’t forget to bring water.
