Garbage Strike in Amsterdam

To whom it may concern:

When I first arrived in Amsterdam, it was mid way through a large garbage strike. The place was filthy and I just came from Asia. Didn’t find a room as I didn’t book one and some festival going on. Didn’t know the hostels and wasn’t paying 100+ Euros for the Delta.

At about 7 am as I was making my way to a coffee shop I snapped this photo of a totally garbage ridden street. I have videos as well of massive piles I’ll post sometime. Mid way through my trip it all got cleaned up. I didn’t particularly care but definitely goes to show were an absolutely tiny part of your tax dollars go.
