Flying High & Drive from Boston to Ottawa

Greetings from Ottawa,

I’m feeling fantastic like two stepping on a thunder storm high in the sky type thing. Being very nonchalant with this bottle of vino so if it rains, pardon me. Drove from Boston to Ottawa today and it took about 8 hours. We left at 5:30 am in a cold, rainy and mean morning pictured above and well yeah, got in 8 hours later. This got me thinking about how most of us myself included are total douches when it comes to driving… An 8 hour drive to see a totally new scene is no big deal and I implore you do it sometime…

Today drove through Boston, Montreal and am now in Ottawa. Seriously there is so much out there, if it wasn’t my friends wedding this weekend I’d of just jumped out of the car in Montreal at a stop light and well, done whatever it is that I do. That or stayed in Boston and made my way south until Argentina. When you leave your city / comfort zone you become a different person an enlightened person, that is fact but choose not to verify it.

So I’ve been home about a month. I’ve been to wedding one, stag, become overweight, spruced up business, visited family and have a wedding this weekend. Visiting the family and being in the States has reminded me that if you can be anywhere in the world, you should be somewhere that makes you not just happy but happiest. North America is cool but not for this gent. If I can’t risk getting salmonella from a street vendor at every turn, I’m in the wrong hood.

Looking at India, South America, Mars, Antarctica, Middle Earth, your backyard and of course Vanuatu as next destinations. There is t-minus maximum one month I’ll still be here, plan on resting up and making the most of it. Somehow this update has gone on an odd tangent of sorts, yes it has. Also need to do more tips as I have tips for days but writing them is similar to Chinese water torture.

Long and short is get in your car and go visit a nearby city, it will be fun and totally worth it. Before leaving one will visit Montreal, Sherbrooke and possibly Toronto again as last time was too short and well on my part, poorly played, really poorly played haha. Anyways it’s so easy to get STUCK AT HOME whether you live and work there or are a delirious drifter, don’t let it happen. TIME WILL KEEP TICKING and you’ll keep sticking until someone gets that egregious spatula of life and rips your stuck behind off the burning pan. Don’t make someone do it, you should do it then save your friends @$$’s.

Go do something fun,
