Hands down, the BEST deal you can get is a metered cab. We took one from MbK to Khao San Road for 65 baht. In a tuk tuk they want 200, you can bargain to 125 if you wish, or they take you to all these crappy suit stores for 30. Just trust me, metered cab is way to go. If the guy won’t turn on the meter, you won’t get in the car, it’s that simple. Oh, they have A/C as well. That said, you can always take a bus for 7 baht, but it’s the bus so… I’d say stick with the metered cab.
