This is a photo from the beach in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. The main beach is almost spoiled like Patong, Phuket. It is basically beach bar after beach bar selling $0.50 pints and then beach chairs littering the landscape. It’s also over run with child beggars. If you send the message from the start you are not interested, you’re ok.

Many people complain that the beggars ruin the beach. I’d say the overcrowded beach chairs and bars ruin the beach. That said, I enjoyed the beach and never had a problem with the beggars. It’s very easy to make it clear you are not interested.
