Time Flies and 43 Months of Freedom
Greetings,
Time keeps on ticking and it is as though our lives are just flying by. What happened to last week or even yesterday? As the short run slowly turns into the longer and more stable version of itself, the fruits of your labor become apparent as you’ll surely harvest what you grow in this life as that’s the way it’s designed. On the topic of time, today is 43 months of freedom, pure unadulterated freedom…
I remember when I first started and met this couple who had been on the road for 14 months, it blew my mind. 43 months, 43 minutes is long if you’re waiting for important news. 43 days is nearly a month and a half, 43 months is approaching 4 years aka simply insanity and kinda nuts I’m writing this from the Caribbean which has now more or less become my home over the last year and a half.
In the last 43 months we’ve done a lot of things including but not limited to: traveled a huge chunk of the world, eaten crazy foods, experienced hilarious highs and lonesome lows, seen more beautiful beaches than I can remember, gotten seriously injured a few times, lived in cashew tree forts on the coast of Africa, met ladies that make you realize everything you ever wanted is truly out there, met friends that span the globe from near every background imaginable.
So where do we go from here? I could write some list of this and that but everything that will be will be so why waste time making grandiose assumptions? I have some tentative plans but hate making concrete ones as the universe has a way of rewarding those with an appetite for a little risk. On May 10th, I’m leaving Little Corn Island and by the 11th, I should be somewhere along the coast of Texas.
From there, who knows?
In closing, hard to believe it’s been this long but I can honestly say this is the happiest I’ve been in my life. Working for yourself and making your dreams come true, whatever they are, is a rewarding process that gives you some pep in your step. Also, when your dreams start to take shape, they will come together in whimsical ways that only great grandma universe could have concocted…
Another beautiful day here on the island, what to do what to do…
Tips hat,
