Lazy African Beach
Greetings,
Took this photo yesterday while chilling on the beach. It’s high tide in the bay where I am staying. Like having a bay to myself, thing is that if you stepped on a sea urchin or something, not so cool. Like how the bay almost covers the mangrove trees.
Pangani was cool, got what was looking for and met a rasta who sells childrens books and internet. Had one system but it is sick and on a high speed, dedicated land line, told him he needs to get a sign up, stat.
Really no tourists there, like none. A guy approached me other day asking why was there, German guy building bungalows on the beach, never sees anyone so was curious.
Last night, enjoyed some banana wine, $0.45 a bottle and the size of a beer. Also rolled into town and grabbed some octopus, easy living. For some reason the chickens aren’t laying eggs, I mention this as it is breakfast and one if them flew out of roost and is picking around in front of me.
My dad sent me a link to worlds last paradise. You know those promo articles written by major publications that describe locations in cheesy, steamy and dreamy type ways? Anyways off coast of Australia. Like $900 flight from Sydney and like $500++ a night, no cars, noise, pollution.
Paradise sounds overt priced, I’m as close to paradise as I have been and here to tell you it doesnt have to cost youngish much. That said the bugs can be annoying.
We are done here.
P.s: one thing I love about the developping world is that anyone can set up shop at low startup and enter the game. The luxury of such in more developped regions ends after the lemonade stand.
