Back in Black on North American Soil
Sitting here in solid black(not really) and it feels great to be back on North American soil. You all know how I roll but gotta say, really happy to be from North America. If it wasn’t for this wonderful place, I’d of never had the education, opportunities and ultimately funds to go see the world and make whatever was destined to become of myself if I tried a reality, yes?
Was just hanging in Nicaragua for a while and it’s just a different world. It’s a country I love but I realize that had I come from there, my world would have been smaller and I’d be limited to searching the internet and reading tales from gents like myself instead of being out there. By out there, I mean sinking my teeth into that large lobster tail or feeling the refreshing blend of whatever the local areas popular drink is on the back of my throat while beads of perspiration and inspiration run down my brow on some beach with an international crew and not a care in the world while on the other side of the world…
I’ll be in North America until early July and I’ve been killing some time here at the airport before heading to Brownsville for my ultimate destination which is a town on the coast across from South Padre Island. All I know is a good friend I met / lived with in Costa Rica will be meeting me at the airport and I’ll be giving her a solid birthday present, you know the 1.75L of dark Flor de Cana aka the gift that gets the whole party feeling like it’s their birthday.
I’ll be doing some exploring and next weekend I’m attending the Shallow Sport Boats Annual Owners Fishing Tournament. It’s a huge event where something like 170 boats enter a fun fishing tournament with all sorts of prizes and the like. Forget the prizes but don’t forget the fishing. Now also think about how cool it will be to kick it with several hundred serious fishing enthusiasts if you’re fanatical about it?!? The USA is also one of those places you absolutely need to have travel insurance, if you get injured you’re going to be seriously glad you have it.
I’m ready for the next episode and time to wrap this up so I don’t miss my flight or stress out running for the gate.
Tips hat,
P.S: Glad to be back in Texas, I like this state and time to eat a REAL steak.
