Hoi An Liberation Day in Vietnam
Good day,
I had the pleasure of attending the Hoi An Liberation Day’s 35th Anniversary. It was good fun, downtown was crowded and they had all sorts of shows. Took some videos and will post them one day, maybe.
Apart from that, I had a truly wonderful day. Woke up, eat breakfast and went looking at fabrics for cargo shorts. Buying clothes off the shelf is like using a type writer, dated and inefficient. Also worked out some of my logo that I’ll be using, indeed.
Apart from that, went on a nice boat cruise for $1.50 and just hung out with some fun people, same people as last few days. My friend picked up his custom made shoes and I must say, they did a smashing job. You can get all sorts of quality levels, I recommend the “top” level as you truly “get what you pay for” and it’s still cheap.
Since it’s Saturday night, went for some drinks afterward with some friends. Once the bar closes, everyone goes to the “Beach Club”. The “Beach Club” sucked. We were on the last bus there and the first bus home. If you come to Han Oi, simply DO NOT BOTHER. They played horrific music and the people there were well, ya.
Anyways it’s 2:30 am, I’m going to go to bed. Lots of friends moving on tomorrow so I’ll be solo soon which is “same same but different”. I’m glad the night life here blows just like in Luang Prabang. I mention that as this place is very similar in feel.
The “Beach Club” is akin to the “Bowling Alley” in Luang Prabang, they both suck. You go once, stay for a bit and leave. Dare I say, the bowling alley is actually cooler. As a result, this is the PERFECT place to just hang out, work on some stuff, and figure out my next move.
Cordially,
P.S I have loads of pictures, I’ll add some tomorrow, can’t be a$$sed right now.
