A Most Splendid Saturday

Greetings,

Odd how days that could best be described as most splendid or even glorious follow most horrific evenings. The night before last would have been breaking point for most. Can’t sleep, Mosquitos constantly harassing one like jet planes in the no fly zone over Libya and more. Let us not forget the callous crew of canines that try and kill each other each soirée ~a mile or so from my window.

I digress.

Went to the country club for some air, 6-7 days of being bed ridden makes one slightyly eccentric a la Howard Hughes. Didn’t bring phone, entire field above, far one at least was setup for soccer match, spectator tents and all.

I’m naturally not a member as I’m an infected tourist who has dysentery(meds now finished) and relapsing fever also called vagabond fever, ironically. Google relapsing fever + malaria, could explain why so sick. Anyways, there was no one in the entire outdoor lounge area.

Took a prime seat and soaked it all up, the sun, the atmosphere, the views and the game. At one point this crew of massive herons began gliding about a mile or so above, one monster came down to less than 100 meters, majestic creatures they are.

Eat some sushi and a monster blue cheese salad, arguably best I’ve had in my life. Important to reload stomach with good bacteria I’ve been told. Also important to resync sleeping patterns when one becomes nocturnal.

Slept lie a baby last night, first time in a week, satisfaction. About two days of pills left for relapsing fever and this vicious vacation from the trip will have concluded. Will return to Doctor then take a flight out of here in the next day or so, regardless of price. Not booking until the Doctor gives the “OK”.

To think, this all started a week ago today.

Tips hat.
