What a Month! Amazing Times in April 2014

Greetings,

I’m writing this from an apartment rental I booked here in Berlin, Germany for three nights after a long trek home from Krakow, Poland. I had a wonderful time in Poland and it was a great addition to this month which could only be described as most amazing. I’ve done lots of travel over the last ~5 years but this month alone, if it was the only month I ever traveled would have been one I’d never forget. I did so much this month I can’t even believe it; I really lived, grew and saw some wonderful parts of this world.

The month started in one of my favorite places on this planet; Little Corn Island in the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Nicaragua. From there I moved to the colonial city of Granada and helped save a friend from quite the predicament; timing is everything. Afterwards made my way to hang out with some great friends in Managua before flying to Miami. In Miami I enjoyed some nightlife before hanging with a colleague of mine who is always fun. After that I got to fly first class to London which was an experience I’ll never forget and hopefully will repeat again soon.

In London, I painted the town red with a good friend of mine who is getting married soon; it was the last hurrah so to speak and we definitely held nothing back. Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus are great times; even on a Sunday! From there I flew to the Maltese Islands and got to experience the marvelous island of Malta and the scenic and laid back island of Gozo. Much more content from there coming in the future so do stay tuned. I really enjoyed Malta and made some good local friends in Valletta; I’ll be back.

Afterwards I went to the most interesting blog related conference of my life; The Social Travel Summit was incredible and I learned so much while being inspired by other creative souls who are doing what they love. Th city of Leipzig is also really fun in the present day and has some incredible history being the intersection of major trading routes back in the day. Was just walking to the grocery store when I met two ladies from Germany who were also singing its praises; I joined the chorus. From Leipzig I spent two nights in Berlin and went on a crazy gastronomy tour with some really fun ladies; delicious times. Afterwards toured the city while seeing new and old friends.

Following that, I made my way to Potsdam for a night before coming back to Berlin for Easter with an old friend.  After, it was off to Krakow, Poland which was one of the highlights of my 2010 Euro Tour. It was just as cool but it also made me realize that there is lots more I need to see; specifically Wroclaw but that’s for another trip; perhaps this summer. I feel blessed to have been able to experience everything that happened this month; it was simply sensational and beautiful places aside, I got to meet many like-minded individuals. Some were old friends I’ve gotten to know better and others were new people who I’m looking forward to catching up with in the future and learning more about.

I just hit up Kaisers which is basically like Whole Foods in the USA and have a fridge stocked with organic everything and foods that I can’t wait to devour; self control will most certainly be necessary. On Thursday aka May 1st, I’m off to a destination I visited in 2012 and had a wonderful experience in; very excited to get involved with round two. Stay tuned for that announcement and much more in the coming days.

I used to spend my days in a lonely office dreaming of the world; it’s more than I ever imagined.

Now, it’s time to make a stir-fry heavy on asparagus.

Tips hat,
