Quite affordable, friendly vibe. Just at midnight with all my stuff, I try not to walk down the tiny "gangs" aka lanes where you find many hotels off the beaten path. It's best to take night trains and arrive early morning as opposed to late at night. That said, found a really luxurious place for $40US and going to go pass out now. Tomorrow changing into a nice one for $10US. So far, I like almost everything about Indonesia. Indeed, I actually really like it here. Quite affordable, friendly vibe.
