Greetings,

I’m writing this with a big smile on my face because tomorrow I’m leaving my current base and making my way to the airport. In a few days, I’ll be back in Belgrade, Serbia which I couldn’t be happier about. There is no better place on this planet to be in the summer than Europe and the Balkans are one of favourite places in Europe. Last year, I had the pleasure of getting to know Serbia a bit better and loved what I saw; naturally when the opportunity arose to return I immediately said yes without hesitation.

I’ll be landing in Belgrade on the 27th of July and flying out on the 5th, I’d love to stay longer but am thankful for the time I’ll have. Last time I was there, I met up with a travel friend and we had the time of our lives in Belgrade. Not long after, he left and I had the pleasure of exploring Novi Sad, Zlatibor and a few other spots along the way. Before we go on, I’d like to say that Belgrade is one of my favourite cities in the world and whenever people mention it, I’m all about getting involved in the conversation.

Belgrade has great food, fun people, lots of history and next-level nightlife. While there, I met up with another blogger as well who had been living there for months and to say we had a good time would be an understatement. Serbia is a destination that isn’t on everyone’s radar but those who have visited often share similar stories to myself. I’m a fan of the Balkans and feel fortunate to have spent most of my summer there last year.

I’ll be visiting this time as a guest of the national tourism board and part of a campaign called #MySerbia. The other bloggers who will be accompanying me are Melvin from Traveldudes, Kash from Budget Traveller and Becki from Borders of Adventure. Kash and Melvin will be there first and then following that, it will be Becki and myself. I could spoil this adventure and tell you the itinerary but that would be boring, yes? Instead, I plan on live blogging it as much as possible and naturally, making daily vlogs as well which you can watch on my Youtube channel.

Something cool is that we’re going to be teamed up with local bloggers so we can get a better feel for the place and learn more about it from them. Adventures are always more interesting when you team up with characters from the region, yes? In the meantime, I want to leave you with some posts I wrote last time I visited to give you an idea of what’s coming up in the not too distant future. I’ve said enough and I need to start packing, I’m on the morning ferry at 6:30am to get to the nearest airport and let’s say I’m far from turning off the lights and waiting for the alarm.
