You'll never know unless you go

Good Day From Chiang Mai

Ahhhh,

Living in Chiang Mai is interesting. For some reason I have no desire to eat Thai food again, ever. As a result I had an English Breakfast. Has this blog come to discussing breakfast? What has become of SHABL? Yours truly needs to hit the road again, soon.

Bought a fan today, the A/C is not working and I talked to them at 8:40, told me to come back at 9. At 8:42 I ran into this gent who said same thing happened to a friend, they tried to get him to replace the whole thing. Not happening, not on my watch. He said his a/c is garbage as well. Should have bought this fan earlier.

Also, almost bought a g0d d@mn towel. Yours truly has never owned a towel on this trip. First off, they take space. Secondly they are get rank quickly and last but arguably most importantly… If you are that “dude” who brings a towel to the beach, I assure you one thing… You’ll be sitting on the towel alone. If you don’t, your odds of ending up on some lovely ladies towel while she rubs sun tan lotion on your back goes up exponentially, write that down.

When is this market going to pull back, this is garbage, true garbage. Back to breakfast, it was the best English Breakfast I ever had, for some reason no matter how long I’m here, this Thai food has been destroying my stomach.

There is a gym near by, even when you don’t do much with your day, for some reason working out feels great. That reminds me of the gym in Vietnam that I joined for $4 a month, what a deal and it had everything. If things had worked out better with visas and “other things”. Hoi An, Vietnam is still one of my fav places in the world.

Great food, access to tailors, cheap hotels and access to the ocean… What more does one need? Oh ya it’s also a Unesco world heritage site, indeed.

I am going to meet a German lady for dinner tonight at 8:30. Some of my blogger friends informed me that they found the item I have been trying to procure for quite some time, that makes me happy.

I don’t like doing any manual labor but love selling, anything. It could be a soggy cigarette butt for $1 or a million dollar home, doesn’t matter, just selling is fun, especially when getting instant payments from strangers. Ever gotten one? It’s the best kind of email, yes?

You see, when looking for something to sell in this world, one must walk down a dark path with no lights until a light appears, that or get mauled by a gang of rabid dogs. (not sure what this means).

I have little else to say, as a result, that’s it.

That is all,

P.S: It’s hot as h3ll here.

P.P.S: To get the score of “What it’s like living somewhere” talk to expats who you feel you have something in common with who have been here a while… Heard very similar stories from most of them, with that my friends, I consider it fact.
